Overview
SpeakCove is a text-to-speech app that runs 100% on your device. We have no servers, no cloud infrastructure, and no way to access your data. Your documents, reading history, and preferences never leave your iPhone.
Data Collection
We collect nothing. Specifically:
- No personal information (name, email, phone number)
- No usage data or analytics
- No crash reports or diagnostics
- No device identifiers or fingerprinting
- No location data
- No tracking of any kind
On-Device Processing
All text extraction, voice synthesis, and document processing happens locally on your device using on-device neural models. No text is sent to any server for processing. The app works fully offline — airplane mode, no Wi-Fi, no cellular — because it never needs to communicate with the internet to function.
No Account Required
SpeakCove does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address. You download the app and start using it immediately.
Third-Party Services
SpeakCove does not integrate any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs in the paid version.
The free version displays ads managed through Apple's advertising framework. Apple may collect limited data for ad delivery in accordance with their own privacy policy. You can limit ad tracking in your iPhone's Settings under Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising.
Purchases
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store any payment information. Your Apple ID handles the transaction entirely.
Children's Privacy
Since SpeakCove collects no data from anyone, this applies equally to children. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 or any other age group.
Data Storage
Your documents, reading positions, and app preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard storage mechanisms. This data is included in your iCloud backups if you have them enabled, but is managed entirely by Apple's operating system — not by us.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change this policy, we will update this page with a new effective date. Given our commitment to zero data collection, we don't anticipate meaningful changes.
